Cost of Education
Do you know the real cost of your college education?
Choosing a college that provides the greatest return on your investment is an important task. We encourage you to inquire about the true cost of each school you are considering — not just in terms of your first year but for all four years of your college experience. The University of Dayton is one of the most affordable private Catholic schools in the country, and we want you to be confident in the cost of your degree so you can plan for success. That’s why we created a four-year approach to tuition that's different from every other college in the nation. Our plan is based on total transparency, allowing you to know the full cost of tuition over four years.
How our plan works
At most universities, tuition increases each year – meaning what you pay as a senior could be substantially higher than what you pay your first year. But at the University of Dayton, your scholarships and grants increase each year to offset any tuition increases. Most universities charge additional fees for labs, courses, orientation, etc. But the University of Dayton is different. We don't have additional fees or surcharges, so you won't be surprised when you get your bill.
Textbooks can be an unexpected expense. But University of Dayton students don't have to worry. If you attend an official campus visit and file the FAFSA by March 1, you can receive up to $4,000 for your textbooks (over four years).
With our four-year tuition plan, your net tuition cost stays the same all four years, so you'll have peace of mind regarding the cost of your degree and focus on what really matters – achieving success inside and outside the classroom.
